FFG Boxing – Terms and Conditions

1. General

These Terms and Conditions apply to all members, trial participants, parents/guardians, and visitors attending FFG Boxing, located at:

11–19 Trafalgar Street, Consett, County Durham, DH8 5AP

By booking a session, attending a class, or participating in any training activity at FFG Boxing, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.


2. Free Trials & Bookings

Free trials are available to new customers only.

One free trial per person.

All free trials must be booked in advance via our booking system.

Full and accurate name, email address, and phone number are required to secure a booking.

Bookings may require card details to secure the appointment, even if the session itself is free.

FFG Boxing reserves the right to withdraw or limit free trials at any time.

Failure to provide accurate details may result in cancellation of the booking.


3. Age Groups & Class Eligibility

Kids & Teens Boxing: Ages 6–18

Adult Boxing (Beginners): Ages 18+

Competitive Boxing: Coach approval required

FFG Boxing reserves the right to move participants to a different class where it is deemed safer or more appropriate for their ability, age, or experience level.


4. Parent / Guardian Consent (Mandatory for Under 18s)

For all participants under the age of 18:

A parent or legal guardian must consent to the child’s participation.

By booking a trial or class for a minor, the parent/guardian confirms:They have legal responsibility for the childThey consent to boxing and fitness trainingThey accept the risks associated with physical contact sports

Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring medical conditions, injuries, or special requirements are disclosed prior to training.

FFG Boxing reserves the right to refuse participation if consent is unclear or safety concerns exist.


5. Competitive Boxing – Additional Terms

Competitive boxing is not recreational training and carries increased physical risk.

Participants in competitive classes confirm that:

They have previous boxing or combat sports experience or have been approved by a coach

They understand and accept the higher physical demands and contact involved

They agree to follow all coach instructions without exception

FFG Boxing reserves the right to:

Remove participants from competitive sessions if safety standards are not met

Restrict access to competitive classes at any time

Require medical clearance where appropriate

Coach decisions regarding competitive suitability are final.


6. Health, Medical & Fitness Declaration

By attending any session, participants confirm that:

They are physically fit and able to participate in boxing and fitness training

They have disclosed all relevant medical conditions, injuries, or limitations

They understand boxing involves physical contact and exertion

Training is undertaken at the participant’s own risk.

FFG Boxing accepts no liability for injuries arising from undisclosed conditions.


7. Cancellations, No-Shows & Late Cancellations

Customers are expected to attend sessions they book.

Repeated no-shows may result in loss of booking or trial privileges.

Where card details are collected, no-show or late cancellation charges may apply, in line with the booking policy shown at time of booking.

Charges, if applicable, will be clearly stated during booking.

FFG Boxing reserves the right to update no-show policies as required.


8. Payments, Memberships & Online Processing

Membership fees, pricing, and payment terms will be clearly communicated before sign-up.

Payments are processed securely via third-party providers (e.g. Stripe).

FFG Boxing does not store raw card details.

Payments are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise.

By booking online, you authorise FFG Boxing and its payment provider to process payments in accordance with these terms.


9. Behaviour, Conduct & Safety

All participants must:

Follow coach instructions at all times

Treat staff and other members with respect

Use equipment safely and appropriately

FFG Boxing reserves the right to:

Refuse entry

Remove individuals from sessions

Terminate memberships without refund
where behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate.


10. Photography & Media

FFG Boxing may take photos or videos during sessions for marketing, promotional, or educational purposes.

If you do not wish to appear in media content, please notify a member of staff before training.


11. Personal Belongings

FFG Boxing is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings brought onto the premises.


12. Liability

While all reasonable care is taken to provide a safe training environment:

Participation is at the individual’s own risk

FFG Boxing accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage except where required by UK law


13. Amendments

FFG Boxing reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
The most current version will always be published on the website.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: January 2026

At FFG Boxing, we value your time and ours. This policy explains how cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds are handled for all training sessions and memberships.

By booking a session or joining as a member, you agree to the following terms.


1. One-to-One Session Cancellations

All private coaching sessions must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.

Late Cancellations

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session may be charged in full.

No-Shows

If you fail to attend without notice, the session will be counted as used and is non-refundable.

This ensures fairness due to limited coach availability.


2. Group Classes & Training Sessions

Group class bookings may be cancelled with reasonable notice where possible.

FFG Boxing does not provide refunds for:

Missed classes

Late cancellations

Non-attendance

Members are encouraged to attend consistently to gain full benefit from training.


3. Membership Payments

Membership fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable once processed.

Refunds will not be issued for:

Unused time within a membership period

Missed sessions

Early cancellation after payment

Change of mind

Membership cancellations must be submitted before the next billing date to prevent renewal.


4. Refund Exceptions

Refunds may only be considered in exceptional circumstances, such as:

Serious medical inability to train (with supporting documentation)

Long-term injury preventing participation

Gym closure or cancellation by FFG Boxing

All refund decisions remain at the discretion of gym management.


5. Cancellations by FFG Boxing

FFG Boxing reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to:

Coach illness or emergencies

Facility issues

Unforeseen circumstances

In these cases, clients will be offered:

A rescheduled session

or

Account credit for future training
